It's started. Three years of thought and design are finally coming together. This project started back in the 90's when i was reading a newspaper. I was reading yesterdays news. That's when i had the first thoughts about this service. At the time i did not know it.
Over the years since then technologies have developed as i did with the industry. New technologies became available that helped shape my thoughts and the fundamental concepts that form the building blocks of NewSphere.
So what is NewSphere? Heh, i wish i could tell you in explicit detail, but right now i cant. I will be able to tell you more as soon as the concepts are fully patented and copyrighted. I expect this will take an additional six months, but don't worry i will be leaking information about the project as we go.
The first leak is this "User generated content is the future of the internet, i think we all know that, what we will solve at NewSphere is how to organize it, make it relevant and make it important, that is the key".
Yesterday i started gathering the team of highly talented individuals who will form the governing board. I have carefully selected people who meet the criteria. The response so far has been great, I'm looking for a governance body that will consist of 5 people, we are almost there. I will speak to the final two people over the next 48 hours, once complete i believe we will be in great shape.
NewSphere will be open source. This i can promise. Open source is important for this project as it has to be a grassroots initiative or it will fail. When dealing with people individual thoughts, feelings and emotions i believe its critical that those are protected by a system that is open, free and in the best interest of the world and everyone in it. Open source is the only way to guarantee this.
I was writing an email today to a future governor of NewSphere, i realized while writing the email that the momentum behind the company was going to be mostly humanitarian. I realized that i had finally found a product and service that would actually help our planet and not necessarily my wallet. I think the momentum will steadily grow as people understand what we are going to do here at NewSphere, its important work. Very important.
Ok enough of the monologue.
